Position Summary
The Application Support Specialist provides functional support for PeopleSoft Supply Chain Management Solutions administration, configuration, maintenance, project management and implementation. A candidate should have exceptional knowledge of PeopleSoft out-of-the-box functionality with best practice knowledge of the financial application. Modules that are to be supported are: Purchasing and Inventory. This support includes administration, configuration and maintenance of the software; implementing new applications; designing current system enhancements; and upgrade testing and support.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Liaison between the functional users of PeopleSoft and PeopleSoft Development to ensure the system is meeting the business needs of the organization
- Exceptional knowledge of PeopleSoft SCM modules (Purchasing, Inventory)
- Lead in the configuration/setup of modules to Our client specifications
- Lead and oversee the system testing of assigned modules
- Develop user training documentation
- Lead trainer for selected modules
- Participate in implementation/upgrade teams
- Provide continuous user support
- Provide direction and development support for less experienced employees
- Some travel required, possibly international
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following software.
- People Soft 9.X (1 or 2)
- Design software
- Development software
- Internet software
- 4+ Years experience with PeopleSoft inventory
- 4+ Years experience with PeopleSoft Purchasing
BONUS Experience/Skills:
- Knowledge of Asset Management, Oracle ASCP, Bar-coding, Manufacturing
Qualifications:
4+ years’ experience in PeopleSoft application support for Inventory and Purchasing.
